Safeguarding Children

Carrick Leisure's commitment to Safeguarding Children

Carrick Leisure's management and staff will endeavour to provide a safe and secure environment; to protect children, young people and staff from harm.

It is widely accepted that all children and young people have a right to protection and it is the responsibility of staff employed by or associated with Carrick Leisure to safeguard children, young people and vulnerable adults from harm.

We do this by...

  • Implementing policies and procedures to safeguard children, young people and vulnerable adults across the services we provide.
  • Ensure that policies in place are inline with current legislation and Local Safeguarding Children's Board policies.
  • Implement best practices when staff, volunteers or others are providing services, activities and programmes for children, young people and vulnerable adults.
  • Provide a training programme for staff that is linked to the Cornwall Safeguarding Children Unit Tier training.
  • Ensure that organisations using any of Carrick Leisure facilities effectively address safeguarding requirements and practices.
  • Work with partners to influence and promote safeguarding practices and principles in sport and leisure.

Should you wish to discuss anything further then please do not hesitate to contact us.
