Welcome To the Sports Development Service

Carrick Leisure's Sports Development Service has long played a strong role in the strategic planning and development of programmes and initiatives, locally and countywide and continues to support the advocacy and development of sport and active recreation.

The team works closely with the Cornwall Sports Partnership and other district authorities to support and develop national, regional and local initiatives.

The unit have formed multi-agency links and added support to projects across the district, using sport, recreation and leisure as a mechanism to combat community issues.

The Sports Development team has trained officers who are able to act as local deliverers for various national initiatives. This also helps the team to provide support and advice to local community groups on a wide range of issues including funding, club development, junior development and the development of participation.
